Samuel Beckett - Waiting For Godot

Yes that is Gandalf and Picard. Could this mean that this is the amazing current stage adaptation they are doing together?! Sadly no. However, this fine BBC radio production is still a great listen....at least until it ends and you realize that seeing an adaptation with MacKellen & Stewart would be akin to reading a book with the light of a Silmaril.

*sigh*

This is freaking awesome, one of the best uploads out of an immensely satisfying set of uploads. I love your website. My heart skips a beat whenever I check my live bookmarks for it. Rock on!!

Thanks to B. Belcher who originally spotted a snag in the files. :)

I saw the first night of MacKellen & Stewart's production earlier this year. It was stunning. Had to rub it in!

Thanks for this great blog. So much good stuff and not all SF so I'm broadening my horizons too :)

I saw their production, and I have to admit, i didn't actually like it. It was too broad and they played to the audience a bit too much.

However, it was cool as hell to be so close to those two doing theatre. The atmosphere was better than the actual show.

My favorite is still the
Bert Lahr / EG Marshall version
from the fifties.
I transferred it from vinyl
to mp3, but don't have a way to post it.
